What is it about?

This paper presents a transparent Health Data Ecosystem, i.e. an integration of information coming from patient clinical records, scientific literature and open databases, enabling health professionals and researchers examine and explore clinical associations of interest and identify the significance of specific interventions to patients.

Why is it important?

The data ecosystem presented here integrates clinical and scientific data related to Lung Cancer in a transparent way in the form of a Knowledge Graph. The analysis of this graph provides significant results on the toxicity analysis of oncological treatments, patient therapeutic responses and disease progression based on expected drug-drug interactions, enabling us to draw interesting conclusions on therapies that could be applied in Lung Cancer patients.

Perspectives

It's important to explore how known and unknown drug-drug interactions, provided by machine learning prediction models, contribute to the progression and overall status of a patient.
