Why is it important?

The expanding trend of climate change and the escalating natural disasters continue to pose many issues for marginalized communities. The study's primary focus is on the reasons for tackling flood and climate change issues, which involve many facets of environmental, social, economic, and well-being for humans. The article promotes proactive steps to slow down climate change and increase resiliency to its effects, particularly emphasizing social and economic stability, environmental preservation, water security, infrastructure resilience, and multilateral cooperation.

Perspectives

The data collection phase was conducted during the flood occurrence. Communication was the most challenging aspect of reaching out to people. However, the researcher could conduct the study with the support and help of the locals and NGOs. The article, therefore, interprets not only the experiences of the locals with floods and climate challenges but also the author's first hands-on experience.
