The creative industries is a multibillion dollar sector that has only recently been recognized for its social and economic contribution especially in these times challenging times triggered by Coivid19 and the attendant lockdowns across the globe. As we rue the restrictions prompted by the lockdown, we all could use some entertainment to maintain our mental wellbeing. Film and Music present such escape and it was only worthwhile soliciting the views of someone who understands the value of entertainment. In this interview, Prince Nnamdi Adigwu talks us through the value of entertainment and how the education sector can plug into that ecosystem. This interview and the insights therein, has morphed as African creatives have witnessed a resurgence post-lockdown. Grammys, MTV Awards and Halftime shows are just one sign of the dynamic times in the music space enacted by genres such as Afrobeats and Amapiano.
