What is it about?

We analized the situation of digital identity of the research community of the University of A Coruña with their presence in Orcid, ResearcherID, Scopus Author, Google Scholar Citations, ResearchGate and Mendeley. We suggested the role that the researchers, the university library and the university must assume in order to improve this presence.

Many studies on the researchers digital identity have been conducted but only a few delve into its relationship with the digital reputation. Perspectives

As a librarian who works with researchers this study seems essential to propose improvements in the university from the library. The mission of the library has to be necessarily linked to the mission of the university and this refection involves the developing new strategies and services that can have an impact. Therefore this, study is a reflection on the ability of academic libraries to influence the researchers results and, therefore, university results.
