What is it about?

Philo of Alexandria uses both Hellenistic and Hellenistic Egyptian concepts of moderation in his own critique of Egyptian and Greek forms of idol worship, a tripart critique in which he borrows from the Wisdom of Solomon. It is intriguing to note the manner in which Philo draws on Hellenistic and Hellenistic Egyptian concepts while simultaneously criticizing them. Philo seems to draw on Roman forms of excess in his pursuit of moderation, for the sake of following Mosaic law.
