Why is it important?

Catfishes include scientifically interesting and challenging as well as economically important as foodfishes, aquarium species and in some cases problem species from a conservation perspective.

Perspectives

I have studied certain catfishes for many years and reviewing this book placed much of what I know about catfishes into perspective - their global diversity is simply stunning, and their adaptations and ecological interactions continue to surprise.
