What is it about?

Dry needling does not improve muscle force production, except for individuals with neck pain.

Why is it important?

Previous reviews have focused on the effects of dry needling and pain reduction, and have not fully assessed the effects of dry needling on muscle force production. Our review highlights the methodological quality of the 21 randomized controlled trials included, and can inform current practice of dry needling and future research.

Perspectives

Over two years of work, and lots of mentorship from co-authors and JOSPT editors and reviewers. Excited to see this in print.
