Distributed Wildfire Surveillance with Autonomous Aircraft Using Deep Reinforcement Learning

What is it about?

Teams of small unmanned aircraft can help suppress wildfires by tracking their growth and providing firefighters with accurate information about the wildfire. This work presents two methods for using wildfire observations to guide aircraft in order to cooperatively monitor an expanding wildfire.
