What is it about?

The aircraft collision avoidance system ACAS Xu uses a large look-up table to recommend turns to avoid collisions, but the table is too large for some flight computers. We compress the look-up table by using a function approximation, which shrinks the table by a factor of 1000 without sacrificing performance and allows the system to run on limited hardware.
