What is it about?

This work studies the performance of boundary layer ingesting (BLI) configurations using mechanical energy-based methods. For analysis the propulsion system of the BLI configuration is modelled using a simple pressure jump actuator disk whose power saving coefficient is evaluated against a similar freestream ingesting variant.
