What is it about?

This paper presents results of the observations of ionospheric electron den- sity, plasma temperatures, and IS signal parameters by incoherent scatter radar in Eastern Europe. For measurements, a double-frequency measuring channel with the compound sounding signal was used, which allows to im- prove the resolution of parameters of the ionosphere. The results obtained during quiet ionosphere condition were verified by their comparison with the IRI model calculations. The equipment and measurement technique accuracy, developed by the authors, allows to obtain further information on the peculiarities of the ionospheric variations during perturbations of various origin and intensity.
