Visual semiotics, the computational way

What is it about?

In this paper, I propose the use of software tools in order to research quantifiable signifiers in visual images, and their manipulation towards a quantitative semiotics.

Computation visual analysis is very research and still in an experimental stage. This paper attempts to correlate technical aspects of images (like 'entropy') with the social and political environment.
