Glucocorticoid receptor-mediated delivery of nano gold–withaferin conjugates for reversal of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and tumor regression

What is it about?

Gold nanoparticles is used as a drug-delivery system for treating cancer. Drug resistant, aggressive and relapsing cancers are difficult to treat with any conventional therapeutics. Herein, we show that properly modified gold nanoparticle can induce drug-sensitivity in drug-resistant cancer cells. While co-delivering anticancer drugs it can reduce aggressiveness in tumors. The methodology will be useful for effective management of drug-resistant and aggressive cancer.
