This paper determined that dialysis providers and staff themselves support educating their patients about transplant, but have low knowledge of transplant, insufficient access to high quality educational materials, and find it difficult to connect with transplant centers for support in referring and educating their patients.

This paper determined that dialysis providers needed training on how to provide transplant education to their patients, and that the majority of dialysis centers were not having detailed discussions with their patients about transplant, and instead were most often referring their patients to external sources of transplant education.
