What is it about?

Why is it important?

Leptin and leptin receptors may directly or indirectly affect the onset of PCOS in women. Genetic factors should also be considered while correlating leptin and its receptor with PCOS.

Perspectives

This article highlighted one of the rare, novel, and possible genetic factors in one of the emerging conditions, polycystic ovarian syndrome. I hope this review encourages looking at Leptin from a different perspective and further investigations to be planned based on this review.
