What is it about?

The study aims to decipher the molecular mechanisms and pathophysiology of pancreatic cancer with an emphasis on the advances in treatment options and the use of natural products as anticancer agents. The study looks to understand mutations and dysregulations in genes and pathways implicated in pancreatic cancer. It further looks into current treatment approaches as well as potential therapeutic adjuncts.

Why is it important?

With pancreatic cancer having a poor prognosis, investigations to comprehend its molecular underpinnings and research on natural chemicals could lead to the development of safer treatment alternatives with enhanced survival rates for pancreatic cancer patients.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great learning experience for me as well as the co-authors. It helped us understand the severity of the disease and how good lifestyle factors are important for a healthy life. It also made me realise the enormous potential nature has to provide us with combat weapons for this deadly disease.
