A new coupling model based on MEEMD-ARIMA was constructed and applied to runoff prediction in the Lower Yellow River.It can provide a new idea and method for annual runoff prediction.

Why is it important?

The prediction of annual runoff in the Lower Yellow River can provide important theoretical basis for effective reservoir management, flood control and disaster reduction, river and beach management, rational utilization of regional water and sediment resources.


I hope the new model proposed in this paper can inspire more people to think about the runoff prediction model. So as to provide better theoretical support for flood control and disaster reduction and water and soil conservation
