Why is it important?
The scientific literature on the subject has a large number of sources on the constructs of teacher emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and classroom management, however, few consider the links between these constructs.
Perspectives
Results showed that teachers who tended to have higher levels of capacity for perceiving, expressing, and managing emotions reported higher levels of efficacy to teach and for classroom management. Therefore, is important for Portuguese teachers to develop their emotional intelligence during academic training, for a more effective future professional activity.
