Why is it important?
Alz disease and open-angle glaucoma are degenerative diseases. If there was any correlation it could be claimed that could be the possibility one treatment to benefit both diseases.
Perspectives
It was a challenge for me to collaborate with colleagues from ophthalmology department and a discipline close related to the brain. It was also interesting to find if the neurodegeneration of the brain in the process of Alz 's disease could affect the visual pathway.
