What is it about?
The paper describes non-specific toxic effects of AOT-stabilized silver nanoparticles in two cell lines, HeLa and U937. To evaluate toxicity, MTT assay and annexin binding technique were used.

Our data allows to clarify dose-dependent cytotoxicity of surfactant-stabilized nanoparticles and also notes the importance of nanoparticle characteristics during cell-nanoparticle interaction.
