What is it about?

In Iran, as a developing country in the Middle East, the increasing incidence of CVD has prompted the health policy-makers to emphasize on nutritional interventions as a part of the main strategies to alleviate the condition.

Why is it important?

There has been no similar study to discuss riskfactots in Iranian CVD patients. Also, the role of lifestyle and obesity were addressed.

Perspectives

The findings presented here can be used a as a base for future works in the region and Persian Gulf countries with similar conditions.
