What is it about?
This study is a follow-up of 100 Girls examined in childhood in Sweden around the millenium shift. The majority of the Girls recieved diagnoses of autism and/or adhd. We asked the group of now young women about experienced musculoskeletal pain, headache and abdominal pain lasting more than 3 months. They all fulfilled a form measuring their helath related quality of life and the results showed that it was significantly lower than in the general population. Chronic pain was reported by 76% of the women. Chronic widespread pain was observed in a third of the women, a figure five times that of the same-aged women in the Swedish population.

The researchfield embracing autism, adhd and pain separately are considerable. Studies that investigate possible realtionship between this disorders are few.
