Why is it important?

Although it has been a long time since the merit and priority of using NPs in treating cancer by low-energy sources has been studied, regarding eye cancers a major concern has been the way these NPs would be spread in the ocular tissues. Results of this study prove proper distribution of GNPs within choroidal tumor after intralesional injection and under ex vivo conditions. These results can ensure other researchers for use the nanoparticles in ocular melanoma treatment. Also, this study suggests a pre-tested way to inject the nanoparticles into the eye.
