We know that some medicines don't work as well or may have unique safety issues in ethnic populations versus Caucasians. This study evaluates efficacy and safety in a Latino population.
Perspectives
Celecoxib is a commonly used medicine for treatment of arthritis. Extensive clinical data is available for effectiveness and safety in Caucasian populations. We now have studied celecoxib in African-American, Asian, and Latino populations adding to the knowledge base regarding safety and efficacy for those physicians wishing to treat those patients in those three ethnic groups.
