What is it about?

Malaria remains an important public health issue in Uganda and across sub-Saharan Africa. In some areas, many fever patients are diagnosed with malaria and treated without undergoing testing. This can have a negative impact by using scarce resources inappropriately and also delaying correct diagnosis and treatment. By auditing practice in Kisiizi Hospital, Uganda, we can assess how well they are adhering to guidelines in this important area and therefore, how well they are managing this large patient group.
