The study indicates that the Lerner - Centered (LC) approach supports developing of empathy and patient- centred care amung medical students during the pre clunucal years .

Why is it important?
The study tries to meet the challenge of teaching empathy and patient-centred medical practice through a LC tutoring/teaching process. It is based on the belief that teacher educators have an obligation to "practice what they preach". The main innovation of the study is the attempt to influence students’ empathy and PC by faculty development.
