What is it about?

It’s a closer look into genre paintings and everyday practices of Dutch households and how this lifestyle was a form of propaganda that affected women of this time. I wanted to take a look at why artists such as Pieter de Hooch, Jan Steen, and Nicolas Maes, produced so many of these paintings targeted at women to see and follow as an ideal household women should be keeping.
