Why is it important?
Our findings show that Indonesian nurses are in a strong position to meet the growing global demand for healthcare workers, especially in countries facing shortages. By addressing challenges such as licensing requirements, language training, and ethical recruitment, Indonesia can strengthen its nursing workforce and increase its international competitiveness.
Perspectives
Working on this article helped me see the untapped potential of Indonesian nurses globally. I hope it encourages policymakers, educators, and healthcare institutions to invest in training and support systems, enabling nurses to thrive abroad while also enhancing healthcare quality both internationally and at home.
