What is it about?

In this study, we looked at how to help nursing students become better at their clinical work in hospitals. We found that things like working closely with hospitals, having a variety of patients to learn from, clear job descriptions for clinical educators, having good role models, and having experienced faculty educators all play a big role in making students more skilled in their clinical studies. This research can be useful for nursing schools, hospitals, and the government to improve how they teach nursing students and help them become even better at what they do.

Why is it important?

Our study addresses a pressing issue in Indonesian nursing education: improving student competency in clinical studies. We stand out by pinpointing key factors for success, such as strong hospital partnerships, diverse patient exposure, clear educator roles, role models, and experienced faculty. This research is timely due to the urgent need for skilled nursing graduates in evolving healthcare. Our findings offer practical guidance for nursing institutions, hospitals, and policymakers to enhance nursing education and ultimately improve healthcare quality. This work can serve as a valuable reference for similar challenges globally.

Perspectives
