What is it about?
30 sinus -related maxillary teeth were extracted and the alveoli were grafted with magnesium enriched hydroxyapatite. Three months later, crestal sinus elevation were performed through the use of an osteotome and dental implants were positioned. Intraoral radiographs were taken at baseline, 6 12, 24 and 36 months to evaluate alveolar bone gain.

Perspectives
Writing this article we wanted to place emphasis on sokets preservation. Post-extraction sites in posterior maxilla require grafting material to minimize sinus pneumatization which may occur meanwhile the temporary edentulous stage of the area
