Why is it important?
Traditional methods of measuring article impact do not truly measure the influence of researchers' work. Incorporating additional methods to share article information and content can increase impact and citation counts.
Perspectives
The changing scholarly environment requires journal editors and publishers to understand how researchers find articles, and understand how articles are used outside of traditional scholarly publishing paradigms. This project provided me the opportunity to explore new efforts with the editor of this journal.
