Perspectives
Academic writing is often thought to be difficult to understand for those who aren’t in the academic sphere. It makes me wonder if the words used in academic writing are too difficult or diverse for the masses to understand them. Through this research with articles from International Business Management (IBM) as examples, I believe we are able to figure out how diverse are the phrases used in academic writing and whether in continuous or discontinuous form.
