What is it about?

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different irrigation water levels on the biomass yield and forage quality

Why is it important?

It has been determined that different irrigation water levels have statistically significant effect on neutral detergent fiber (NDF), crude protein ratio, crude ash , dry matter intake, and relative feed value amongst the main quality characteristics of silage

Perspectives

It has been determined that while the decrease in the amount of irrigation water causes decreases in biomass yield. There is no decrease in feed quality values and even contributes positively. Also, it has been observed that sweet sorghum to be grown under limited irrigation conditions can be easily grown without any decrease in feed quality parameters.
