Why is it important?
The findings shed light on the competing purposes of providing medical care and making profits of a private hospital as shown on its website and are linked to the phenomenon of medical tourism and the Thai Medical Hub project. Thus, it provides readers a critical perspective of the repercussions of medical tourism and the Thai Medical Hub project.
Perspectives
The paper employed the tools of Systemic Functional Multimodal Discourse Analysis and and keyword analysis in examining the data, which provided both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
