Using the tools of critical discourse analysis (CDA), the paper examines how a private hospital communicates with readers through its website.

Why is it important?

The findings shed light on the competing purposes of providing medical care and making profits of a private hospital as shown on its website and are linked to the phenomenon of medical tourism and the Thai Medical Hub project. Thus, it provides readers a critical perspective of the repercussions of medical tourism and the Thai Medical Hub project.
