What is it about?
Police inspector Amaia Salazar is haunted by her memories of child maltreatment and those, along with the crimes she investigates, trigger a number of fear networks which put her in a very fragile mental state and endangering her life. The article focuses on the clinical aspects of her PTSD symptoms, what triggered them and how she starts recovering her agency once she can pull up her resilience and bounce back personally and professionally thanks to the psychological anchors in her life

Criime fiction academic works are usually based on procedures or gender based issues, but rarely on victimology ones. This article explores the stages of the healing process for the victim who happens to be the police inspector leading a number of cases.
