What is it about?

This research will provide an effective fire-safety approach for the use of polymers with graphene oxide (GO) as a component retarded by nano-flame. This study supports GO inclusion as a preferred alternative to reducing the flame threads of Polymers that do not impact polymers ' mechanical properties.

Why is it important?

This work provides useful insights into the ignitability behavior of PP and PS nanocompounds with deposit GO fillers. Therefore, graphene increases thermal polymer stability, delays polymer ignition time, inhibits fire spread, and decreases heat release rate.
