Why is it important?

The importance of full-scale processing features and testing in the development process for titanium alloys compressor blades of turbojet engines is discussed and illustrated by means of three titanium alloys drawn from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.

Perspectives

Well-designed Ti-alloys structures can provide a high degree of high cycle fatigue stability which is very important for turbojet engines in both military and civil aviation.
