What is it about?

The adhesion between the CoB and Co2B layers formed on the ASTM F1535 alloy by the powder-pack boriding process was estimated. The results showed that the adhesion between the layers increased for thicker cobalt boride layers, with the presence of compressive residual stresses at the CoB-Co2B interface.
