What is it about?
Palladium-gold nanoparticles were fabricated as composites on granular activated carbon, carbon black, graphite, and graphite nanoplates. These composites have been systematically characterized and tested against trichloroethene for catalytic hydrodehalogenation. Granular activated carbon was found to be the best support for palladium-gold nanoparticles, due to its high surface area, absorptive properties, wide commercial availability and low cost.
