What is it about?
Commonly-used accelerated weathering test protocols for plastics often do not reproduce results from outdoor weathering. One problem is that residues can accumulate on the surface that are washed away by rain outdoors but not by the gentle spray of the test chambers. We have investigated a washing procedure that effectively removes these residues and improves correlation of test results to outdoor exposures.
