What is it about?
Modern day batteries require novel materials for enhanced performances as their components. This leads to development of newer Nano materials one of which is MXene. Although being part of a broad family, Ti3C2Tx has been the most studied family member. This study proposes a newer synthesis route for the development of the said compound and also details the problems encountered in the process.

Why is it important?
Usual synthesis route for MXene is divided into two parts. First is the development of MAX phase and then subsequent MXene is produced from the said sample. MAX phase is usually produced from a slow heating process. This study showcases a potential faster route for the the MAX phase development.
