Operator-Induced Variability Caused by Hand Mixing of Cement Paste—Effects on Fresh and Hardened Properties

What is it about?

Cement pastes are usually mixed mechanically. This requires the use of large amount of materials, which is sometimes not possible. We show here that for a large number of properties, hand mixing produces results which are extremely similar to mechanical mixing.
