Evaluation on Feasibility of Carbon Black and Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer as UV-Resistant Additives of Asphalt Binder

What is it about?

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is one of the main reasons for asphalt pavement aging. We quantitatively assessed the difference between Carbon black and Hindered amine light stabilizer for restraining the UV aging of asphalt binder based on rheology and fluorescence microscope. It is helpful for the selection, evaluation and application of UV-resistant additives, which can further help prolong the service life of asphalt pavement.
