Improve visual hierarchies in dictionaries

What is it about?

Data indictionaries should be presented in a visual hierarchy on screen that makes the most important search result data stand out on a need-to-have/nice-to have basis, because data presentation structures with functional focus may betterhelp users achieve their intended goals. Users will also easily be able to find the data items they are looking for.

Why is it important?

This paper explains that lexicographers can learn a lot from internet design experts. The design and layout principles help lexicographers to better structure and present data in online dictionaries.
