Why is it important?

Our findings show that factors such as unhealthy weight loss, body image concerns, and eating habits strongly influence the risk of eating disorders among Indonesian boarding school students. This highlights the need for targeted interventions to promote healthy behaviors.

Perspectives

Writing this article gave me the opportunity to explore a relatively under-researched population—adolescents in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools. I hope our findings raise awareness about eating disorders in these unique settings and inspire targeted health education programs that are culturally sensitive and practically applicable.
