What is it about?

We propose a computer model for the competences assessment, according to ISO 15189 requirements, in which all the data are collected in a single platform, avoiding redundancy and dispersion, and they are automatically analyzed and can be easily monitored in real time in the form of indicators. The comparison between the skills required and those owned (measured) allows to highlight the gap useful for planning personalized training paths. The computerized management of competences assessment is a strategic action as it fulfills the requirements of registration, traceability, communication, data analysis and indicators development and allows the plannings to be made on the basis of the actual training needs.

Why is it important?

An effective management of the personnel skills is fundamental for ensuring the quality of the total testing process in order to reduce the risk for the patient.

Perspectives

Our computerized model standardizes the procedure of skills assessment so that competencies are measurable and comparable with appropriate standards, therefore evaluation will be objective. On this basis managers will be allowed to plan personalized training paths to increase proficiency of all staff units.
