What is it about?
Drivers’ route choice response to GRIPs is quantitatively analyzed using discrete choice models through a case study of a real-life graphical route information panel (GRIP).

Why is it important?
Studies that explore drivers’ decision behavior under GRIPs via discrete choice models have rarely been reported. In this paper, a logit model for predicting route choice probabilities is developed to capture the relationship between the route choice probability, driver attributes and GRIP messages.
