Why is it important?

In the present moment of ecological grief, destruction and collapse, we build community, imagination, and new models for creative production. The "nest-work" creates a safe and nurturing place for ideas coming into being.

Perspectives

As an artist who works in community with scientists and conservationists, and who researches Key Biodiversity Areas, specifically focused on birds and bird migration, I bring forward the nest-builder and nest as model for creative and academic spaces.
