What is it about?
Is increased labour productivity in agriculture the source of wage growth in agriculture? This relationship, consistent with the assumptions of economic productivity theory, was empirically verified for the years 2010–2022 for EU countries. The improvement in labour remuneration was due more to a reduction in labour input than to a real increase in labour productivity.

Why is it important?
The inconsistency between the rate of wage growth and productivity growth may raise questions about the effectiveness of agriculture development policies.
Perspectives
We expected that EU agricultural policies have an impact on remuneration growth. However, in some cases it seems to harmful for productivity.
